We are pleased to introduce the 2017 4‑H National Youth Science Day challenge: Incredible Wearables.
Developed by University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Incredible Wearables is a hands-on STEM project that challenges young people to build a wearable fitness tracker that will help people lead healthier lifestyles.
To complete the challenge, kids must work together to design, build and refine a wearable health-tracking device that is low-cost, easy-to-use and aesthetically appealing.
Incredible Wearables is perfect for both classroom and out-of-school learning. The 75 to 90-minute hand-on project is highly adaptable and is suitable for 4th-12th graders.
Each low-cost kit can serve up to 10 youth at a time, and is re-usable.
Discounted Incredible Wearables kits will be available for pre-sale starting in April. Don’t miss the sale! Sign up to receive an alert when discounted kits become available. Full details on kit contents and pricing will also be available in April.
4‑H NYSD Celebrates 10 Years!
Celebrating its tenth year, 4‑H NYSD will be held on Wednesday, October 4, 2017. The annual STEM initiative will engage tens of thousands of youth across the country to perform the same science challenge on the same day.
