C.J. Aducci, PhD, LMFT and Executive Officer of Strong Family Development for the Chickasaw Nation Department of Family Services in Ada, Oklahoma was this year’s guest lecturer at the annual Tony Jurich Lecture on Social Justice. Dr. Aducci met with the Couples and Family Therapy Program where he discussed the history and unique struggles of the Chickasaw people and ways that mental health is being made more accessible for this population. The afternoon lecture which was open to the public, addressed mental health in the workplace, specifically in the WinStar World Casino which is owned and run by the Chickasaw people.
Aducci received his doctoral degree from Kansas State in 2013 and began practicing as a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Oklahoma since 2014.
