New Faculty Feature- Cherie Stueve

Cherie Stueve, MBA CPA (Inactive) AFC® is a doctoral candidate in Personal Financial Planning at K-State and a private practice Financial Counselor. In addition, Cherie has completed graduate certificates in Financial Planning and Financial Therapy from K-State. Her research interests include obstacles in seeking professional financial advice and public perceptions of different financial professionals. FPA Student Update

The K-State FPA Chapter is off to a busy start this school year. The chapter attended the FPA of Greater Kansas City Career Day to network with professionals within the industry and seek out possible internships and job opportunities. An interview with Advisory Board Chair Jamie Bosse

Jamie Bosse CFP®, RFC served as the chair of the Personal Financial Planning Advisory Board from 2016 to 2018. She graduated with a B.S. from the Personal Financial Planning program in 2004 and earned her Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2008. Jamie now works with clients to help them “Master What’s Next” by clarifying their goals, creating a financial plan, and taking action.  She helps her clients maneuver through life’s transitions and overcome and anticipate any potential roadblocks along the way.  She finds it extremely rewarding to see people organize their financial lives, maximize their human capital, and get closer to their life goals.  She really enjoys being involved with the K-State program and helping it grow and thrive. A message from the program director

I am amazed at the outstanding students in our Personal Financial Planning at Kansas State University. I have had the pleasure to travel with some of our students to conferences over the past few months. Colleagues and prospective employers from across the country consistently make compliments about our students, commenting on the bright futures ahead of them. I whole-heartedly agree.
