Welcome to the Fall 2016 semester

The beginning of a new academic year is always an exciting time on the K-State campus. The Graduate School was pleased to welcome over 300 new graduate students to campus during our orientation sessions. The Graduate School administrative team, a panel of graduate students and the Graduate Student Council leaders provided advice on how to successfully transition to their new role and to balance their multiple roles and responsibilities as students and graduate teaching or graduate research assistants.  Continue reading “Welcome to the Fall 2016 semester”

K-State Olathe and College of Education offers unique opportunities for working professionals

Those who are working full time have options to grow professionally with graduate degrees and certificates at K-State Olathe and via distance education from the College of Education. The Professional Science Master in Applied and Technology degree and the Master of Arts and Teaching degree are the newest degrees available for those who are wanting to take the next step in their career.

Greetings, Graduate Alumni!

I recently returned from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia where I completed a program review, presented two lectures and promoted K-State graduate education at the Universiti Putra Malaysia. One of the most exciting and rewarding parts of my trip was getting to network with K-State alumni. A group of 10 alumni who had graduated from Architecture, Business, Chemistry, Civil Education, Engineering, Human Ecology, Plant Pathology and Physics programs attended the first K-State Alumni event in Malaysia. Alumni shared stories about the time when they were in graduate school and spoke fondly about their undergraduate adviser or major professors.
