Faculty Spotlight: Holly Pishney

Born and raised a Kansan, Holly Pishney, Instructor and Lacy’s Lab Coordinator, graduated from Kansas State University with a BS in Hotel and Restaurant Management in 2001. Upon graduation Holly started working for Housing and Dining Services at Kansas State University where she worked as the Athletic Training Table Coordinator and Assistant Unit Director to Derby Dining Center. Recently, she worked at Colbert Hills as the food and beverage manager while finishing her masters in Adult Learning and Leadership.  

Bringing over 16 years of foodservice management, Holly operates and teaches the student run lab. Lacy’s Fresh Fare & Catering offers students hands on learning experiences and transferrable skills. Here the students rotate through several areas of learning throughout the semester including recipe development, baking, prep, production, catering service and management rotations. Her passion is attending K-State athletic events!!
