Doctoral Program coming Fall 2018

Story by Anissa Zagonel, master’s student

The Department of Communications and Agricultural Educations is excited to announce a partnership with the Staley School of Leadership Studies and the Department of Communications Studies to offer a Doctorate of Philosophy in Leadership Communication coming in the fall of 2018.

“We are excited about the collaboration between our departments as we launch the interdisciplinary PhD,” says Dr. Lauri Baker, Graduate Coordinator for the Department of Communications and Agricultural Education.

This interdisciplinary research program encompasses the work of all three departments to provide students with a diverse learning opportunity. Through the study and practice of leading change, students will produce original research that is grounded in community-engaged scholarship.

“Our students will have the opportunity to benefit from scholarship across colleges and disciplines,” says Baker. “It is an exciting time to be graduate faculty in our program as we embark on this new adventure that is different than anything that has been done. We have already grown stronger as an interdisciplinary faculty through our work of building this program together.”
