Health Professions Networking Night

Open Option advisors now offer drop-in hours (for any K-State students)! Explore K-State programs, identify and tackle your challenges, find university resources, and understand your curriculum, GPA and university policies.

Trained students in financial planning or financial services offer counseling to fellow students on budgeting, saving, credit, student loan repayment and transitioning to work.

9/11 – Last day to drop regular-session, 16-week courses for 100% refund (view Academic Calendar for info on shorter courses and more). Last day to add course(s) with instructor permission. 

9/15 – A/Pass/Fail grading option request deadline. Last day to submit graduation application to be included in Commencement Program.

9/18 – Last day to drop regular 16-week courses for 50% refund 

9/19 – Deadline to submit Application for Residency Reclassification for tuition and fees

9/25 – Last day to drop regular 16-week classes – no ‘W’ grade(s) reflected on the transcript 

K-State Academic calendar

Planning to graduate this semester? 

All students planning to graduate in December are highly encouraged to apply for graduation clearance in KSIS by Sept. 15 to be included in the Commencement Program. Log into KSIS, click on the Academic Records tile and select “Application for Graduation.” All students must apply for graduation for each major, secondary major, minor and certificate they are completing. The final deadline to apply for Fall 2023 graduation is Dec. 8. Seniors, please read the Aug. 30 email from the Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office to learn more.

The College of Arts and Sciences Center for Student Success and Engagement houses our Student Services Team and college advisors. The team coordinates student-centered initiatives focused on supporting ArtSci students as they move through their academic programs toward graduation. They assist students with enrollment, late add of classes, major changes and adds, connection to advisors, DARS fixes, grad checks, and many other academic activities. Student Services also answers questions about academic policy including dismissal, warning, reinstatements, honors and credit enrollment limits. They coordinate New Student Orientation and college enrollment and assist with Commencement. They also help students connect with other university resources. Visit them in 107 Calvin Hall, call 785-532-6904, or email artsci@ksu.edu. The office is open Mon.-Fri. 8 a.m.–noon and 1–5 p.m.

Arts and Sciences students and other friends had fun exploring Aggieville together with a scavenger hunt Wed., Aug. 23. They got to know the ‘Ville while crossing items off their lists. Items included murals and signs, a funny floor tile message, the police station and more. All participants were given an Aggieville and Arts and Sciences swag bag, and many even won prizes!

Undergraduate students enrolled full-time in any major in the College of Arts and Sciences are invited to apply for research awards to conduct projects with faculty members in the college. Each awardee receives a $1,000 scholarship. Learn more and apply for Spring 2024 awards by Nov. 1!
