  • GSA Meat Bingo: Please mark your calendars for the 4th Annual ASI GSA Meat Bingo on April 25th! The event will be held at Manhattan Brewing Company at 6:30 PM. Bingo cards are $15 per card with chances to win many unique prize bundles. Please plan to join us for a fun night and to support the grad student association within our department. In addition, if you or a company that you are affiliated with would like to donate meat, gift cards, or prize bundles please contact Abigail Jenkins at akjenkin@ksu.edu.

  • Save the Date: On-campus interviews for Asst/Assoc Professor – Animal Nutrition will take place Thursday, April 25, Thursday, May 2, Tuesday, May 7 and Wednesday, May 15. View the candidates’ cover letter, CVs, and Seminar zoom links at https://www.asi.k-state.edu/candidates/animalnutrition/.
  • Kiracofe Lecture: Dr. Jeff Stevenson will be the presenter at the 2024 Kiracofe Lecture and Physiology/Animal Breeding Seminar on Tuesday, April 30 at 1:30 p.m. in Call Hall 205. The presentation title is “Perils and Performance of Peer Review”. Learn more about the seminar here.
  • Annual Cybersecurity Awareness training: All faculty, staff and students must complete the online Cybersecurity Training by Tuesday, April 30.
  • BQA Training: The Collegiate Cattlemens Club is helping host a BQA Training taught by Dr. A.J. Tarpoff. This event hosted at the Stanley Stout Center will be April 23 starting at 6 pm. There will be free Cox BBQ sponsored by the Kansas Beef Council as well as a chance to buy tickets to win a Vaxmate Cooler that is sponsored by Bank of the Flint Hills. The whole event is free of charge and we would like to get a lot more of the students to go through a BQA training! If you would like to attend, please make sure you scan the QR code and RSVP! The form will close one week prior to the event so make sure to sign up early! Learn more about the training here.
  • Mark your calendars: The Global Center for Grain and Food Innovation Groundbreaking will take place on May 17 at 2:30 p.m.
