  • K-State Open House 2025: You may see through various university channels that the event submission will be open on December 2 to submit events and activities for your organizations. The Ag Program staff will be submitting ALL College of Agriculture activities in the one submission so do not use the submission form that you will see in the this release. A collection form will be sent to gather information for ag-related activities at Open House. If you advise a club or organization in the College of Ag, please plan to submit your events through the Ag Programs Office in Waters 117. Open House 2025 will be April 12.
  • December Faculty and Staff Town Hall: The final Fall 2024 College of Agriculture faculty and staff town hall meeting will be held December 5 from 2-3 p.m. These meetings are your chance to speak with university and college leadership and stay up to date on projects and initiatives around our college. The meeting will be held in the town hall room of the Leadership Studies building.
  • College of Agriculture and KSRE all employees meeting: You are invited to College of Agriculture and KSRE all faculty and staff meeting on Friday, December 6 from 9 – 10 a.m. in 181 Hall Library. Zoom will be available for those who need to participate remotely (connection details below). At this meeting Provost Mendez will provide an update on the upcoming search for the next permanent Dean of the College of Agriculture and Director of KSRE and answer your questions. The Provost and search firm would like to hear your thoughts on your aspirations for the college/KSRE and the opportunities and expectations of your next dean including the short and long-term priorities they should achieve, professional qualifications and personal characteristics and the points of pride within the College, KSRE and K-State.   • Free professional headshots – The College of Agriculture is offering faculty and staff the opportunity to get a new headshot taken. The photos will be on a simple white background, so they can be easily used for multiple purposes. There is no need to sign up; just head to Waters 139 during the shoot period outlined below. The team will take your name and get your picture taken. It is recommended not to wear white to ensure you stand out from the background. The final shoot time will take place on December 4 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Waters Hall 139. 
  • Holiday Sales: The holiday season is here, and there’s no better way to support the College of Agriculture than by stocking up on your favorite products made by our K-State students right here on campus! All sales below are currently open:

    • Bakery Science Club: Freshly baked goodies are here!   • ASI Christmas Party –  Your invited to ASI Ugly Sweater Christmas Party at December 18, 2024 at Stanley Stout Center from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Please bring a favorite appetizer or dessert. RSVP to Stacey Chard by December 16. Family is invited to attend.
  • 2024 December Graduate Celebration – Join the College of Agriculture for the December Graduate Student Celebration on December 12, 2024 from. 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hale Library in Room 181. Student, faculty and guests are invited. Hor d’oeuvres and beverages beginning at 3:30 p.m. a scholarship celebration will take place at 4 p.m.
  • Blood Drive: Donate Blood on Friday, December 6 in Dykstra Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. To make an appointment email, Marci Ritter (mritter@ksu.edu).
  • Join Us for the Fall Undergraduate Research Symposium! As the semester winds down, we invite you to attend the Fall Undergraduate Research Symposium on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 1:00–5:00 pm at Leadership Studies Townhall. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with undergraduate student researchers and celebrate their hard work!
    • Approximate Schedule:
      • 1:00–4:00 pm: Students will be presenting posters on both course-based and independent research projects. Topics will span a diverse set of fields, including:
      • Animal Behavior
      • Swine Nutrition
      • Meat Science
      • Beef Reproduction
      • Food Science
    • 4:00 pm: Acknowledgements and scholarship ceremony
    • Refreshments: Cookies and drinks will be provided to keep you fueled throughout the event.
