Spring 2020 International Week

International Week is just about 1 month away!  One of our departmental student organizations, International Coordinating Council, works hard to coordinate an amazing week showcasing some of the diversity that exists on our campus.  I hope you all will consider sharing this publicity with other colleagues and students you interact with.  All of the events are family friendly and a great way to interact and learn about our international community.

Here is a little more information about the week.  The week will kick off with an international fashion show with clothing from around the world.  The international parade will be a parade of flags that will start at the ISC, then walk down Mid-Campus Drive, pass by Hale library,  stop at the Union for pics, then toward Engineering and then loop back around to the ISC.  Feel free to walk with us or cheer us and take pics along the route.  The international panel discussion is entitled “Optimizing your International Experience” with a panel of faculty, staff, and students sharing their thoughts on the topic.  The International Dance Lessons will include dance lessons from around the world, changing style each 20-30 minutes.  No dance experience is necessary.  The International Cultural Exhibition is a lovely showcase of cultures in the Union Courtyard where different students set up tables and share information about their cultures.  The final event is a talent show which will include songs, dance, musical performances, and other talent from all around the world.
