Want to earn $200 for hosting an information session with an employer? The K-State Career Center is looking for clubs and organizations who are interested in hosting information sessions with employers called Career Center Connections. The Career Center Connection program is a new initiative to help employers connect with K-State student organizations through dynamic information sessions. Interested groups will be matched with employers based on their organization’s career field interests. Once matched, organizations will work with our team to help schedule the event. Each organization is in charge of marketing and getting student members to attend. In return, the Career Center will compensate the organizations for their help in hosting the event.
Each Career Center Connection is a one-hour information session with up to two employers held between August 31st – September 18th. Up to five student organizations can help host each session. Each organization that helps host the session and brings a minimum of 10 students will be eligible to earn $200.
How your organization will be compensated is as follows:
Host 1 Career Center Connection with a minimum of 10 students = $200
Host 2 Career Center Connections with a minimum of 10 students = $400
Host 3 Career Center Connections with a minimum of 10 students = $600 (max per organization)
To sign up to host a Career Center Connection fill out this Qualtrics Survey by August 27th, with the career field interests for your student organization. Also, within this survey you will be able to share how many Career Center Connections your organization would be open to hosting. (The number may be less due to employer availability). To host a Career Center Connection your organization must pledge to bring at least 10 interested students.
Please note that all groups will need to either provide their department’s account number (DSO’s) or upload a copy of their organization’s W-9 Form (ISO’s) with the Pledge Form. This will allow for the payment process to flow easier. If you are unaware of how to get a copy of your W-9, please contact your organization advisor, treasurer, or accounting contact!

We look forward to working with you!
