Plan your student organization’s retreat with help from CSI

Retreats are one of the most useful and valuable activities that student organizations can participate in.

A retreat is a planned time for your organization to step away from your normal routine for the purpose of reflection, learning, planning, teambuilding, and/or evaluation. Retreats provide the opportunity to rejuvenate members’ motivation and enthusiasm for the organization, and to accomplish organizational goals and work.

The Center for Student Involvement is committed to helping you plan a successful retreat for your organization. To do this, we’ve created a Retreat Planning Guide, as well as scheduled help hours to discuss your questions, ideas, and concerns. Handouts, workshop recordings, and presentation slides on a variety of leadership topics are also available on the CSI website.

Summer Events & Student Org Resources

Save the date for June 2020 leadership workshops and student organization support! 

The summer is a great time to re-focus your organization’s energy and set your goals for the next academic year. Join the Center for Student Involvement to build your organization’s toolkit through virtual workshops, guides, resources, & more!

May 13 – June 12: Student organization retreat planning guidance & support

    • Take advantage of online resources and attend open help sessions to plan your summer retreat/strategy for managing your organization. CSI staff are also available upon request for individual meetings.

June 15–19: Virtual leadership workshops: Goal setting, teambuilding, & more

    • Participate in a series of 45-minute workshops to learn tips, tricks, skills, and tactics you can implement in your organization

June 22–26: Officer networking and roundtable discussions

    • Meet, share knowledge, and learn from other student leaders in positions similar to yours

All events & resources will be announced via email in our weekly newsletter, the CSI Update, sent to presidents, primary contacts, vice presidents, secretaries, and advisors. Check your email each Wednesday for announcements & share with your organization accordingly. Events & resources will also be listed on the CSI website.
