This spring First Scholars have decorated donuts and toured President Schulz’s house. In April we will be tailgating at a baseball game and in May we will have an end of the year celebration.

During the second half of the semester, the transition course focused more on campus resources and different ways to get involved at K-State! The spring semester will be filled with more opportunities to continuing connecting and building on skills to be successful! We will start the spring semester with a retreat on Monday, January 19. The retreat will include community service, lunch and a workshop!
Please hold Sunday, April 26 on your calendar for an end of year celebration to celebrate the First Scholars! We will have a dessert reception from 2-4 p.m. in the Flint Hills room in the K-State Student Union.
Hello! I hope this newsletter finds you doing well! The first cohort of First Scholars at K-State are doing great! There are 21 First Scholars and they represent every area of Kansas. Thank you for allowing your scholar to be at K-State! I am really enjoying getting to know the scholars and I think they enjoy each other as well!
Scholars participate in a transition course that meets once a week. We focus on the transition to college and different skills to assist with test taking, note taking, reading, and will also have several presenters throughout the semester to talk about different services and resources.
