The year 2013 marks a milestone for Kansas State University. This February, K-State — America’s first land grant institution and Kansas’ first public university — will celebrate its 150th birthday.
The sesquicentennial is a time for friends, alumni, students, faculty and staff to honor the proud history of our university and look to the future. Festivities begin on Thursday, February 14, with a kickoff event in Ahearn Fieldhouse.
Of special note to our trustees: The KSU Foundation will host an 1863 Circle Hospitality Room on February 14 and 15 in the K-State Student Union’s Cats Pause Lounge. We hope you will stop by to welcome this special group of K-Staters.
