Biology doctoral candidate awarded $17,600 Sarachek Predoctoral Honors Fellowship
Anil Pant, doctoral candidate in biology from Nepal, was awarded the $17,600 Alvin and RosaLee Sarachek Predoctoral Honors Fellowship in Molecular Biology.
Alvin and RosaLee Sarachek, established the fellowship to recognize a doctoral student at Kansas State University who has demonstrated exceptional research and scholastic accomplishments. An interdisciplinary faculty selection committee determines the fellowship recipient.

Professors in entomology and biological & agricultural engineering recognized as distinguished graduate faculty
Internationally recognized researchers in integrated pest management and biofuels were selected as the 2020-2021 Commerce Bank and W.T. Kemper Foundation Distinguished Graduate Faculty Award recipients.
This year’s winners are Tom Phillips, professor of entomology, and Donghai Wang, professor of biological and agricultural engineering.
