The Harvey County fair is August 4-8th. This year, the fair theme is “Heroes in the Heartland.” During the fair, 4-H Ambassadors will be hosting a fundraiser called “Kiss the Goat”.
For this fundraiser, nominees will have donation jars with their name attached. These jars will be on display at the 4-H Food Stand during the fair. The person who has the most donations in their jar will have to kiss the goat before the 4-H and FFA Livestock Auction on Tuesday, August 8th at the fair!
Who will it be? Nominees to “Kiss the Goat” include Sheriff Chad Gay, Police Chief Eric Murphy, County Commissioners Chip Westfall and Ron Krehbiel, Fire EMS Captain Chris Anderson, Harvey County Agents Scott Eckert, Hannah Anderson, Anne Pitts Ryan Flaming and 4-H Ambassadors.
Who will kiss the goat? Place your vote by placing a donation in a nominee’s jar at the 4-H Food Stand during the fair. Anyone can be nominated to kiss the goat with a minimum $10 entry donation. Proceeds from this fundraiser support the Harvey County 4-H Ambassador program.
