Last week I was locked in a room with my fiancé and six of his family members, where we were given 60 minutes to escape. As the door shut behind us, chaos erupted for the first five minutes. We were scouring the floors, ceilings and windows. We tried random combinations on locks and flipped through pages of books, all of us looking for clues about how to escape. About five minutes in we managed to find a clue which unlocked a small lock on a file cabinet, leading us to the next clue. Continue reading “Escape Room”

With the severe weather this week, did you have an emergency plan in case something went wrong? Most people have their go to bag, or list that they pack up in case something happens to their home. Too Late to Plant Tomatoes?
It is not too late to plant tomatoes in the garden! Tomatoes are the most popular vegetable
grown in Kansas gardens. They are easy to grow, productive in small garden areas, and used in a wide variety of ways. There are about 4,000 varieties of tomatoes to choose from, so you can pick your favorite by experimenting with any you want! Big to small, green to purple, even black varieties. So have fun!
Tomatoes require a location that is fairly fertile, well-drained, and sunny, getting at least a half day of sun or more. Smaller vine tomatoes can be grown in containers. Continue reading “Too Late to Plant Tomatoes?”
