Kristin Malek, who will complete her doctorate in hospitality administration at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, will join the hospitality management faculty this summer.
She brings expertise in convention, meeting and event management with industry experience and research in event management and consumer behavior. She said she is anxious to share her passion with the students at Kansas State University.
In February, the faculty began to work through the strategic planning process. Reports Kevin Roberts, program leader, “This will be the first strategic plan for the program as we look to grow and strengthen the program at Kansas State. We have spent the last few weeks creating the vision statement and have tried to hone in on who we want to be within the next 10 years.”
The next advisory board meeting is May 1 at the Hilton Garden Inn, Manhattan.
