Two MNE students once again demonstrated excellence in research as winners of the spring 2015 Engineering Undergraduate Research Poster Forum. Seventy-three students participated in the event, which featured 49 poster presentations from eight different engineering departments.
First place. $300, Eric Kerschen, senior in mechanical engineering, “Natural-Based Systems for Indoor Humidification.” Kerschen’s research adviser is Melanie Derby, assistant professor of mechanical and nuclear engineering.
Second place, $200, Allison Sommer, junior in mechanical engineering, “Reducing Oxygen from Graphene Oxide by Unconventional Methods.” Sommer’s research adviser is Gupreet Singh, assistant professor of mechanical and nuclear engineering.
