That’s the Wildcat Way Spotlight: Miss Kansas USA
College of Arts and Sciences student named Miss Kansas USA
Few people can say they won the first pageant they competed in, but that’s exactly what Audrey Banach, senior in communication studies, did when she claimed the prestigious title of Miss Kansas USA 2014 in December 2013.
The College of Arts and Sciences student was born into a military family as the middle child of three. She began traveling around the country at a few months old, living in multiple states before settling down in Kansas, which has been her home for the past seven years.
“With so much change in my childhood, it led me to become a highly resilient and ‘glass half full’ kind of individual,” Banach said.

Graduation is just around the corner!
Congratulations to K-State seniors graduating in May! Students must apply for graduation online, through their student iSIS account, for all majors, minors, and/or secondary majors with which they plan to graduate.
The dates to apply for graduation are listed on the official Academic Calendar. The schools/colleges may have program-specific graduation deadline, so check with your Dean’s office for official dates.
More than 3,100 students using SALT online money management program

Powercat Financial Counseling has achieved its spring semester goal of 3,000 SALT activations since launching in January 2013. Only 11 other SALT-user institutions — three of them being public universities — have hit the 3,000 registration mark. K-State has activated 3,156.
