If you are attending the 2014 Joint Statistical Meetings in Boston, please join us for the annual K-State dinner. We always get together and have a great time sharing memories and stories over a good meal. Bring along family members or friends for the occasion.
As usual, the dinner will be on Monday evening. By the preceding Saturday evening, there will be a sign-up sheet posted in the communications area of the convention center with all the pertinent details. If you know you are coming please sign that sheet (there will be a spot on it for you to indicate the number in your party who are participating) so that we can give the restaurant a reasonable head count.
On Monday evening, we will gather at 6:00 and walk together to the chosen venue for a meal at approximately 6:30. As usual, after dinner the group will be invited to Ron Wasserstein’s executive suite for more conversation. (For those of you who don’t know him, Ron is a Ph.D. grad of the department, and the Executive Director of the American Statistical Association. He always has a nice hotel suite with plenty of room to spread out and converse, and is happy to share it with us.)
Below I have included a picture taken from last year’s dinner. The grads making the K-S-U sign are (left to right) Shana Carter Palla (MS’99), Chris Bilder (PhD’00) and Mike Anderson (PhD’09). Maybe you’ll be part of this action in Boston
