Both the Finney and Scott County Fairs will be happening July 17-23 with pre-fair judging happening the week before. West Plains has an awesome team of talented 4-H interns this summer, bringing programs to all youth around Finney and Scott Counties!! Welcome Adi George, Alivia Noll, Karly Larson and Payton Goodman to the West Plains Extension Team.Reminder that all 4-H Animal Exhibitors for both the Finney and Scott County Fairs will need to complete YQCA training and have a valid certificate on file at the Extension Office prior to County Fair entry deadline. Certificates for KJLS and the KS State Fair must have validation dates through October 1, 2023 in order to be eligible to show. We are very proud of all of you!!!Reminder that all 4-H Animal Exhibitors for both the Finney and Scott County Fairs will need to complete YQCA training and have a valid certificate on file at the Extension Office prior to County Fair entry deadline. Certificates for KJLS and the KS State Fair must have validation dates through October 1, 2023 in order to be eligible to show. BB gun, air rifle and air pistol are heading to the State 4-H Shooting Competition on Saturday.Finney County – Saturday and Sunday are tagging dates for small livestock and beef. Please check your mailboxes for an email from Renee.The Countdown Is On!!! May 1 is 17 days away!! This is the deadline for 4-H membership and project selection for 4-H County and State Fair participation. It is also the deadline for registering for Pirates of Camp Lakeside Camp for 7-9 year olds and camp counselors, to be held June 14 & 15.Reminder that all 4-H Animal Exhibitors for both the Finney and Scott County Fairs will need to complete YQCA training and have a valid certificate on file at the Extension Office prior to County Fair entry deadline.
