Food Recall Basics

Most consumers say they pay attention to food recall notices, and they tell others about them. Yet, fewer than 60% actually look in their cabinets, refrigerators, or freezers for the recalled food. They have a “not in my house” attitude.

  2. That “not in my house” mindset is a big issue — people see recall alerts but don’t always connect them to what’s in their own kitchen. Taking a couple of minutes to check your pantry or fridge can make a huge difference.
