Senior a Finalist for the Truman Fellowship

Macy Warburton, senior in Political Science, was a finalist for the prestigious Truman Fellowship this past spring. The Truman Fellowship provides up to $30,000 for graduate study for those interested in careers in public service. Warburton has won numerous scholarships at KSU, including the National Society of Collegiate Scholars Merit Award, the Putnam Shcolarship, the McKelvie Scholarship, and the Political Science Department Award of Excellence.

She has been remarkably active on campus during her college career as well, serving on the Student Governing council, the K-State First Advisory Council, the University Homecoming Committee and a number of groups associated with the School of Leadership Studies. Kudos to Macy for her many KSU honors and for continuing the department’s tradition of training outstanding students that compete for the nation’s most prestigious scholarships.
