ACT Hosts Farm to Fork 5K

Story by Brooke Harshaw, junior (ACJ)

The Farm to Fork 5k will be April 11, 2015, on K-State’s campus, starting and ending in front of Waters Hall. The run, which is hosted by the Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow (ACT), will take runners around campus and provide information at water stations about the process of turning a raw agricultural product into the finished food on their plate.

This inaugural event will equally benefit ACT and the Kansas Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom. ACT will use half of the proceeds to help pay for its member’s trips to various professional development conferences and events.

This new event is a replacement fundraiser for the pancake feed that ACT formerly co-hosted.
