The Sales Career Fair was held on Tuesday, September 25, in the College of Business Building Atrium. Featuring 24 employers, the Sales Career Fair was open to all students and was a great opportunity for those looking for internships or full-time employment after graduation.
On Thursday, September 27, K-State alumnus and author of “Ninja Selling,” Larry Kendall, served as the keynote speaker for Sales Week, giving a lecture titled, “Stop Selling. Start Solving.”
The National Strategic Selling Institute is an established sales program in the marketing department in the College of Business at Kansas State University. Under the direction of Dawn Deeter-Schmelz, the program has been named one of the top sales programs in the country for seven straight years by the Sales Education Foundation. Students can earn a certificate in professional strategic selling, which is open to all majors in the university. The certificate program introduces students to the fundamentals of sales, and through the innovative curriculum and sales labs, allows students to develop the skills needed to be successful. Beginning this fall, K-State became just the 19th university in the U.S. to offer a major in professional strategic selling.
