For the third year, the students of the NSSI Advanced Sales Class will be hosting the NSSI Benefit Auction. Held at the Houston Street Ballroom on April 25, 2015 from 5:30 to +/-9:00 p.m., the auction will be a semi-formal affair featuring fine-dining with food from Coco Bolo’s, musical entertainment, and the auction services of The Canny Team of Johnson, Kansas. Stan Weber, a K-State favorite, will be serving as emcee, and Willie the Wildcat may stop by for a visit.

New software gives sales students a leg up on the competition
Thanks to new software in the sales labs of the Kansas State University College of Business Administration’s National Strategic Selling Institute, or NSSI, students pursuing a certificate in professional strategic selling now have an edge when meeting with potential employers.
Interact Software from CenergyIT allows students to record themselves during mock sales calls, to get a better understanding of how they are performing in sales situations. The software allows for critique from professors and creates a shareable online profile of their work for potential employers. Leawood student takes home top prize at RBI National Sales Challenge

Helen Dinkel, a Kansas State University junior in marketing from Leawood, won the Overall Champion Award at the 2014 RBI National Sales Challenge at William Paterson University, Wayne, New Jersey.
The competition, which took place over three days, saw more than 80 students from 42 different colleges from around North America and Europe compete for the top prize. Swinder Janda, professor of marketing, received a $5,000 award in recognition of his outstanding research and teaching at a ceremony on October 30, 2014 at the K-State Alumni Center.
