K-State Research and Extension: 4-H and more!

Kansas State Research and Extension (KSRE) provides evidence-based programming and resources to the citizens of Kansas. Our school specialists focus on improving child development, adolescent development, adult development and aging, and family resource management by researching these topics, developing curricula, testing curricula, and deploying county agents with the resources they need to educate Kansas.

With a special focus on the social determinants of health, FSHS Extension adds value to families and communities through applied research and practice. Examples of just some of the programing available to communities are Strengthening Families (for families with children ages 7-17), Better Brains for Babies (for parents and educators of children ages 0-5), Gray for a Day (communities of school age and beyond), and SHICK counseling (for adults).Check out your local office for more information.
