A virtual field trip to a 300-million-year-old ocean in Kansas

Not even a pandemic can stop Geology’s Dr. Karin Goldberg from sharing her enthusiasm for field work!  Check out this video that she prepared for K-State’s Girls Researching Our World (GROW): Exploration STEM, a program that aims at increasing girls’ interest in science.

  1. I couldn’t help but notice the Wildcat Purple Shirt she is wearing!! Can I get one? I am an KSU alumni (graduated with a B.S. in geology in the fall of 1984). I like the pick and hammer on her sleeve.

Her virtual field trip is fantastic!! Extremely well done!! I and my colleagues at the Kansas Dept. of Health and Environment would love to see more!!

    Thanks!!
