The Museum hosts a variety of classes and workshops throughout the year for all ages!

Family workshop by Beach Museum of Art

ARTSmart classes: Explore the current exhibitions. Each class includes looking activities in the galleries and an art project. Classes meet on the first Thursday of the month. 10:30 (ages 2-5) and 4:30 (all ages). Upcoming class: December 5: Math and Art

Workshop at the Beach Museum of Art

Homeschool Tuesdays meet on the first Tuesday of the month and include additional academic content. Tours are appropriate for those in kindergarten and up and include an art project. Upcoming class: Dec. 3, 1-2:30: 3-D Mathematics 

Cost for each class above is $5 per child. Payment can be made with cash or check. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Reservations required. Please call (785)532-7718 or email klwalk@k-state.edu for reservations. If you need to cancel your reservation please let us know so we can call those on the waiting list.

Botanical Printing Workshop for Adults

Saturday, September 7, 2024, 9 AM – 12 PM
Beach Museum of Art

$15 supply fee per participant, cash or check accepted. Registration is required, please call 785-532-7718 or email klwalk@ksu.edu.

Create eco-prints on paper with native plants from the Hummel Family Meadow. The workshop will be led by K-State professor Sherry Haar from the Department of Interior Design and Fashion Studies. Haar is the curator of the exhibition Return to the Prairie: Textiles for Green Burial Awareness, on view from September 3 – December 21, 2024.

Group Tours: Upon a Time tours are available for summer school, camp, social service, and summer day care programs on a first come, first serve basis on Fridays, and 1-2:30 p.m. Tues. – Thurs. Family Valentine’s Workshop

The workshop will be offered Feb. 3, 2024, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:30-3 p.m.

We’ll have all the supplies you need to create the perfect Valentines for friends and loved ones. Project fee $7.50, $3.75 for military families and Friends of the Beach Museum of Art (cash or check accepted). Registration is required; children must be accompanied by an adult. The grownup version of our popular Valentine’s Workshop. Come as a couple, with a group of friends, or in secret to create handmade Valentine’s. Wander the galleries to find inspiration from the works of art on display. Light refreshments will be served.
