Dr. Kevin Gwinner, head and professor of marketing, has been appointed as The Jon Wefald Chair in Business Leadership in the College of Business Administration.
Dr. Gwinner has an excellent record of research contributions to his discipline demonstrated by a national reputation among his peers and a very high citation rate with strong evidence of innovative and applied cross-disciplinary scholarship through his work with veterinarians.
As a teacher, Dr. Gwinner has received a number of awards including the Hormel Meritorious Teaching Award, a national award. He has a long and respected service record demonstrating his leadership at the department, college, and university level. His proposal for future direction of the chair involves creating a business Master Teacher Initiative that has the potential to greatly benefit college students and faculty.

The Jon Wefald Chair in Business Leadership is the third of five Edgerley chairs/deanship established endowments in the College of Business.
