Introducing the Kirmser Language Center
In Fall 2014 the Department of Modern Languages dedicated the newly remodeled 001 Eisenhower, now known as the Kirmser Language Center. Thanks to the generosity of Jeune and Philip Kirmser, faculty, staff and students of Modern Languages have a high-tech language center that can support distance learning and multimedia classes. April 26th – 27th marked the second annual German Immersion Weekend at Tuttle Lake Park. Central Kansas Japanese Festival
Tables are covered with origami cranes, vendors line the Union selling Japanese food and drinks, students bend over a Go board while a group of women play traditional Japanese music on the shamisen. April 13th 2013 was the 18th annual Central Kansas Japanese festival organized by the Japanese Student Association in conjunction with the Japanese Language Program.
