Part-time Opportunities Fair this Summer!

ptofIs your new or returning Wildcat seeking a part-time job for the fall semester? Then encourage them to participate in the Part-time Opportunities Fair offered this summer by the K-State Career Center. The fair will be hosted virtually from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Central on Friday, July 23, 2021.

The Part-time Opportunities Fair is a great way for students to be able to connect with employers on campus, and in the Manhattan community, as they plan their schedule and budget prior to the school year. Fair employers will be using video, audio and text-based chat to communicate with student participants.

“We are excited to once again connect area employers with new and returning K-State students. Many campus departments and local businesses are anxious to find help before students arrive in Manhattan this fall,” said Kerri Day Keller, executive director of the Career Center.

In addition to connections with prospective employers, students can also participate in online workshops with the Career Center and Powercat Financial during the fair. Learn how to apply for campus jobs, write a resume and interview in person or online with workshops from the Career Center. Learn how Powercat Financial can help students with creating a personalized college financial plan, or with understanding financial aid and part-time work.

Beginning in July, students should register for the fair and RSVP for workshops and employer sessions in the Career Center’s online recruiting system, Handshake.  For more information, visit the Career Center website https://www.k-state.edu/careercenter/ or email questions to careercenter@ksu.edu. We can’t wait to see your students there!
