Hello Scott and Finney County 4-H Friends and Families!Welcome to the bi-weekly edition of 4-H Happenings in and around our district! Check out the attached calendar local, regional and state events!  Check out the calendar of events for info on upcoming 4-H Livestock Judging, State Nomination Help Zooms and the District Sewing Trip & Community Service Project!Congratulations to the West Plains 4-H’ers who participated in last Saturday’s Super Saturday event in Colby!!Livestock Judging: Kennan Murrell, Hailey Unruh, Kinley Unruh and Grady Vance (8th High Int Individual)Life Skills Judging: Bethany and Perry Horton, Hailey Unruh (3rd High Int Individual) and Kinley Unruh (4th High Int Individual)Horticulture Judging: Hailey Unruh (6th High Int Individual) and Kinley UnruhGood luck to the Scott Co 4-H Shooting Sports Club. BB gun, air rifle and air pistol are having their county fair shoot on Sunday, 2-5pm, at the Community Bldg. Come on out and show your support!The Countdown Is On!!! May 1 is 31 days away!! This is the deadline for 4-H membership and project selection for 4-H County and State Fair participation. It is also the deadline for registering for Pirates of Camp Lakeside Camp for 7-9 year olds and camp counselors, to be held June 14 & 15.Reminder that all 4-H Animal Exhibitors for both the Finney and Scott County Fairs will need to complete YQCA training and have a valid certificate on file at the Extension Office prior to County Fair entry deadline. Certificates for KJLS and the KS State Fair must have validation dates through October 1, 2023 in order to be eligible to show.
