USD 383 student art on view Feb. 10-14

Join us in celebrating the work of the district’s students and their
teachers, during the 8th annual Early Expressions student art show.  early_expressionIn collaboration with the USD 383 art teachers, the Beach Museum of Art, Strecker-Nelson Art Gallery, and the Manhattan Morning Optimist Club, the Manhattan-Ogden Public Schools Foundation sponsored a district-wide art contest for elementary and secondary school students. Over 2040 students in USD 383 submitted original artwork which was juried, and the winning 110 pieces of artwork will be showcased inthe UMB Theatre at the Beach Museum February 10-14, 2016.

On Saturday, Feb. 13, from 2:00 to 4:00, the students’ art will be the centerpiece for a free reception for friends and family of the young artists, with a program at 3:00 to recognize the winning entries from four categories as well as the Best in Show.  This community celebration will allow the winning students and their families to witness the honor of having the students’ artwork featured at the Beach Museum of Art.
