Beach Buddies is the museum’s Facebook group with resources and fun activities for children, families, and educators.

ARTSmart weekly classes are designed for preschool children and up. Units are based on the museum’s collection and include looking activities, academic connections, resources, and art projects. In April we will begin a series of 24 weeks of classes for the animal pairs in the Two by Two exhibition. The week long classes will post to the Beach Buddies Facebook Group beginning on Mondays, with a PDF of the unit posting on Friday.
Families may also opt to have ARTSmart units emailed to them on Mondays. Please contact Associate Curator of Education Kathrine Schlageck at klwalk@ksu.edu to be added to the email list.

Enjoy the series:
Voices: Artists Who Inspire. This series is prompted by the book Between the Lines, a biography of African-American artist Ernie Barnes. It features artists represented in the collection of the Marianna Kistler Beach Museum of Art. We hope these biographies will provide creative encouragement for all young artists.
