NSSI director Dawn Deeter elected to leadership positions in pair of prestigious sales organizations

Kansas State University National Strategic Selling Institute, or NSSI, director Dawn Deeter has been elected to leadership positions in two prestigious sales education organizations.

Deeter is the president of the University Sales Center Alliance, a consortium of sales centers established in 2002 that connects university faculty members with many different backgrounds and areas of expertise. Together, these credible and innovative educators advocate for the continuing advancement of the sales profession through teaching, research and outreach. Study Abroad tour to Europe gives students a global outlook on business

A faculty-led study abroad program this spring saw 22 students in the Kansas State University College of Business Administration travel to Europe to gain a better understanding of the global marketplace.

NSSI and Pi Sigma epsilon team up to donate to Manhattan Special Olympics

The Kansas State University National Strategic Selling Institute, along with the local chapter of national sales and marketing business fraternity Pi Sigma Epsilon, recently teamed up to donate more than $5,000 to the Manhattan Special Olympics.

“We are very appreciative of the support for Special Olympics by the NSSI and Pi Sigma Epsilon,” said Luke Schulte, vice president of development for Special Olympics Kansas. “Without donations like this, Special Olympics wouldn’t be able to put on our programs. Marketing faculty take on new leadership roles

Kevin Gwinner, professor and head of the department of marketing and Jon Wefald chair of business leadership, was named interim dean of Kansas State University’s College of Business Administration in June.  Gwinner replaces Ali Malekzadeh, who took the position as president of Roosevelt University on July 1.
