New Faculty Feature- Cherie Stueve

Cherie Stueve, MBA CPA (Inactive) AFC® is a doctoral candidate in Personal Financial Planning at K-State and a private practice Financial Counselor. In addition, Cherie has completed graduate certificates in Financial Planning and Financial Therapy from K-State. Her research interests include obstacles in seeking professional financial advice and public perceptions of different financial professionals. Cherie is excited to join the Personal Financial Planning faculty team at KSU!

Cherie has previous teaching experience in both traditional and online environments, as well as creating and presenting workshops. Her practice focus is helping working and military households with cash flow management, debt reduction, and savings goals. Cherie also volunteers with financial literacy programs and several community foundations.

Cherie and her husband Tim have been married for 30 years and are both natives of Northeast Kansas. Cherie and Tim have two adult children – Patrick, a professional firefighter and Caitlin, a Speech Language Pathologist with an innovative and inclusive preschool. Caitlin’s spouse, Dr. Max Giammona, is a researcher for IBM on next generation batteries.

Cherie and Tim enjoy visiting museums, historical sites, and going to concerts when they aren’t spending time with their very large extended family in NE Kansas.
