Chronic Disease Self ManagementA Free Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshop series is coming to Lincoln County. This free workshop will be held Wednesdays-September 21st through October 16th 1:30-4:00pm in the Basement Meeting Room of the Lincoln County Hospital.  Participants in this workshop will gain self-confidence in controlling their symptoms, better manage their health, and lead a fuller life.  Participants will have the opportunity to connect with other individuals with chronic physical or mental conditions and caregivers. To register for this workshop please call the Lincoln County Health Department at (785) 524-4406 by September 12, 2016.

Strength Training Program for Older Adults

Stay Strong Stay Healthy is an evidence-based program for older adults who want to improve quality of life and stay active.  Over eight weeks, participants will increase their strength and improve their balance and flexibility.  Strength training has many benefits and Post Rock District is very excited to bring Stay Strong Stay Healthy to Lincoln County. The exercises are easy to learn, safe, and effective.  Classes will be held Mondays and Wednesdays at the Lincoln Senior Center from 2:00-3:00 pm October 31st-DecemStay Strongber 21st.  Registration due by October 14th with $20 registration fee. Space is limited, register early. All equipment will be provided. Contact the Lincoln Extension office at (785) 524-4432 to register.
